Volunteering and ABC Trek
If someone is looking for community project along with Annapurna Base Camp trek in Nepal, Volunteering and ABC Trek is the best way to adapt to local culture and amazing experience. Nepal is a multi-cultural country with about one hundred twenty castes. Different cast and community have unique custom and traditions. As you get into the community project, Locals welcome you whole kindheartedly and traditionally by offering Khada (holy silk scarf) and seasonal colorful flowers.
Furthermore, while engaging in the community project you will get involved in several activities such as teaching in school, playing games with kids, physical contribution to develop school’s infrastructures and taking adult literacy class in the community. Along with, it is great opportunity to interact with locals and one of the extra experience is celebrate Nepalese festival with locals, for example Dashain, Tihar (Light festival) Lhosar (new year of Sherpa, Tamang, and Gurung) and Holi (color festival) etc. After completing project, it will be another exciting adventure to the Annapurna base camp trek. The trek begins from altitude of 850m to 4130m. Along the way gorgeous view of above 8000m pick Annapurna and Dhaulagiri, beautiful landscape and different flora and fauna.

Day 1 Kathmandu 1350m
Lhasso Adventure’s representative will pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport on your arrival in Kathmandu, Nepal and transport you to our hotel. You will have some down time to rest, have showers and eat. This evening you will meet our guides for a thorough briefing over our Community Project and ABC Trek itinerary.
Day 2 Drive to Pokhara and project site 850m
Today drive to pokhara and project site it takes approximately seven hours. As you reach to project site, locals welcome you by offering you Khada (silk scarf) and flowers. Then introduction to the school management team.
Day 3 Project site in Pokhara 850m
After breakfast project coordinator will take you around the project site to show the work. Then go for purchasing project materials such as paints, brushes, stationeries, sports, others materials, cements, sand and breaks.
Day 4 Project site in Pokhara 850m
Today you can do multi activities such as painting, making murals on wall. After lunch take class and play with children.
Day 5 Project site in Pokhara 850m.
Carry on same task, interact with locals.
Day 6 Project site in pokhara 850m
Carry on the same task, interact to locals and play games with kids.
Day 7 Project site in pokhara 850m
Today you have to finish your project, focus on incomplete task to complete them. Clean tools and brushes, which next team can reuse again.
Day 8 Project site in Pokhara 850m
After breakfast clean tools and brushes, which next team can reuse again. today School and community organizing farewell ceremony. On occasion, Chair person of the school will deliver some speech to say thank you. As well as School’s children preform cultural dance with tradition costumes, so it is great opportunity to share your feelings, also you can perform your culture too. After that exploring the village.
Day 9 Pokhara to Ghandruk 1950m
After breakfast an hours and half drive to Nayapul then begin trek, it takes approximately six hours to get Ghandruk. Walk long the Modi river and trail leads uphill to Ghandruk which is a traditional village. Here the majority of the people are call Gurung they are an ethnic group of western part of Nepal it is great opportunity to see their cultures.
Day 10 Ghandruk to Chomrong 2170m
Today’s walk is approximately six hours along the forest then have to crush couple suspension bridge after that reach Chomrong. It is the main gateway to get ABC and at night don’t miss to see very particular cultural show which are perform by local villages every day.
Day 11 Chomrog to Dovan 2600m
After breakfast short descent and in few hour you’ll ascending Sinuwa, this is the perfect place to have closest breathtaking view of Fishtail pick. As you left Sinuwa begins walk along the rain forest and reach to Dovan, it takes approximately five hours.
Day 12 Dovan to Deurali 3230m.
Today will be short walk, which is three hours along the beautiful gorge, bamboo and Rhododendron forest. You’ll may feel altitude from here as well as weather changes dramatically in the afternoon and cold.
Day 13 Deurali to Machhapuchchhre base camp 3700m.
It is short a distance from Deurali to MBC but it may take little longer, three or four hour because of the altitude. If you get before noon you can see the spectacular view of surrounded by snow-capped mountains.
Day 14 Machhapuchhre base camp to ABC (4130m.) and back to Bamboo 2310m.
Today you gain height point of the whole trip so starting early in the morning, hake to the Annapurna base camp to see the sunrise. It is a great opportunity to have a view of Annapurna, Himchuli, twelve peak, Fishtail and Gangapurna peak. After ABC heading back to Bamboo it takes eight hours.
Day 15 Bamboo to Jhinu Danda 1780m
You will get Jhinu Danda in the noon it is small place top on the hill. From the tea house walk north side towards river, which might take twenty minutes then reach hot spring. After long walk, it is good to relief your pain in to the hot pool.
Day 16 Jhinu Danda to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara 850m
Today is long but easy walk, descending to Seuli bazar and meet a flat trail along the Modi Khola. After few hours walking get to the Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara.
Day 17 Pokhara 850m
After breakfast tour around Pokhara while visiting peace stupa, Bat cave, David falls
Day 18 Pokhara to Kathmandu 1350m.
Drive to Kathmandu about 7 hours, Transfer to the hotel.
Day 19 Kathmandu 1350m.
Rest and relaxing day or you can buy present to your friends and families
Day 20 Fly back to Home
Today is the final day of your Community Project and ABC Trek. Our shuttle driver will come to your hotel 3 hours before your flight departure and deliver you to Tribhuvan International Airport. If you are remaining in Nepal, please let us know. We will be delighted to arrange extra activities for you in Nepal.
