Annapurna Base Camp Trekking, located in Nepal; North Mid-West around Gandaki Zone with its main headquarter at Pokhara city, a magnificent place blessed with tiers of green hills dotted by farm houses and terraces including massive range of Annapurna Himalaya peaks with serene Phewa and Begnas Lakes.
Annapurna Base Camp Trek, one of the most picturesque places in Himalaya with outmost scenery of dramatic landscapes and high giant mountains with ever present Mt. Machhapuchare ‘Fish Tail’ the virgin and unclimbed peaks of Nepal Himalaya.
Walk starts from beautiful Pokhara; taking a short drive heading to mid green hills covered with enchanting woodland of tall rhododendron-magnolia-oaks-pines and fir trees, where our route leads through impressive villages at Ghandruk and Chomrong inhabited by Gurung tribes; the hill people of Annapurna region.
Our journey progress with uphill to enter into a gorge of Modi River covered with thick vegetation and tree lines including some bamboo groves, following the river right up to its glacial source at Annapurna base camp within wonderful sanctuary enclosed by towering mountain range of Annapurna Himalaya.
Enjoy pleasant moment at Annapurna Base Camp, the highest spot of the adventure above 4,130 m high facing series of mountain views, and then our return journey leads back on the same way to Chomrong village, where walk leads to an alternative scenic trail to Jhinu village a place with refreshing hot natural spring, and then heading to the road head for exciting drive back to Pokhara.
Our magnificent and memorable adventure Annapurna base camp completes in beautiful Pokhara by the calm Phewa Lake before heading towards Kathmandu.
- Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m) and transfer to hotel.
- Day 2 : Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara 860m (220 k.ms), 07 hrs

Day 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1350m) and transfer to hotel.
On reaching Kathmandu International Airport, received by our guide and staff and then transfer to your respective hotels in the hub of Kathmandu city.
First check into your hotel rooms after getting refreshed from the flight, where our expert guides will inform regarding hotels, trekking, local lodge and overland drives with do’s and dont’s information.
Day 2 Drive Kathmandu to Pokhara 860m (220 k.ms), 07 hrs
Morning depart from Kathmandu for interesting drive to scenic Pokhara, leading you on Nepal’s most busy highway with views of high mountains and green landscapes, as drive heads encountering towns and farm villages and then reaching at Pokhara after 5-6 hrs of exciting overland drive, at Pokhara hotels located near Phewa lake.
Pokhara a beautiful, renowned touristic city blessed with natural beauty placed on the laps of massive Annapurna Himalaya with magnificent Machhapuchare Himal ‘Fish Tail’, a virgin and unclimbed peaks of Himalaya.
Besides mountains and rolling green hills treasures, calm lakes of Phewa and Begnas where most of the good hotels and international standard restaurants located by the Phewa Lake.
Day 3 Drive Pokhara to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk village 1,940 m - 05 hrs.
Enjoy nice and pleasant stop in Pokhara with excellent views of Annapurna Himalaya with magnificent Machhapuchare Himal. After breakfast, an exciting drive leads you for few hours beyond Pokhara valley to reach our starting point of Annapurna Base Camp trekking.
Drive leads past Pokhara valley outskirt with marvelous scenery of Annapurna peaks and farm-lands and then reaching much warmer areas of Nayapul town by the road side of Pokhara and Beni highway.
From here walk follows Modi River to a nice and lovely village at Bhirethati and beyond to reach at Seuli Bazaar near the side of raging Modi River, where our first day walks begins through farm villages with uphill on stone paved steps to reach at Kimche and then heading highest to reach at Ghandruk village overnight stop.
An interesting large Gurung village with many good lodges facing views of peaks and beautiful landscapes, here time to explore around this impressive village of Gurung people, the hill tribes of Annapurna Himalaya where men folks are famous as Gurkha soldiers in foreign infantry with British and Indian armies.
The Gurung people are farmers and cattle herder of age-old profession interwoven with Buddhism religion and as well practices their ancestral rites of Bon sect (pre-Buddhism) worshiping nature and mountains as holy spirits.
Day 4 Trek to Chomrong 1,951m - 05 hrs.
Trek from Ghandruk leads higher past farm terraces and into cool shade of forest and then heading uphill to Kimrong ridge, with long descend to Kimrong River valley with number of farm houses serving as lodge as well.
After a refreshing stop, afternoon climb leads for an hour and then on nice winding trail to reach on top of a hill with grand views of Annapurna peaks, and then on fairly easy downhill walks all the way to village of Chomrong; the last village and the gateway towards Annapurna base camp and scenic sanctuary.
Day 5 Trek to Bamboo 2,050m-05 hrs.
From Chomrong our route leads past terraced farms then descend to Chomrong River. After crossing a bridge, climb all the way for an hour or more to reach at Sinuwa Danda and a small village. After this scenic spot, walk on winding path into dense woodland with downhill for an hour to reach at a place called Bamboo, a small settlement with lodges in the middle of bamboo, rhododendron and oaks forest.
Day 6 Trek to Deurali 3,230 m - 4 hrs.
After a pleasant overnight at Bamboo with the sound of Modi River, today a short walk on gradual up brings you at Dovan, an isolated spot with few lodges, located in the midst of a forest near raging Modi River. From Dovan walk leads into cool forest with slow and gradual up following Modi River upstream, the trail continues with few ups and down to reach at Himalaya Hotel near huge Hinko cave, situated at beneath Hiunchuli peak. Himalaya Hotel is a small place with 2-3 lodges. Continue walk with downhill and then up to Deurali the last place with lodge before Machhapuchare Base Camp.
Day 7 Trek to Machhapuchare Base Camp 3,720 m - 4 hrs.
From Deurali where green vegetation and tree lines disappears for short alpine shrubs and bushes, as walk leads up following raging Modi River upstream on pleasant trail with few strenuous climb for an hour in between and then reaching at Machhapuchare Base Camp for overnight stop. Machhapuchare base camp houses about five good lodges located beneath north face of Machhapuchare Himal the Fish Tail peak.
Day 8 Trek to Annapurna Base Camp 4,130 m and back to Bamboo - 07 hrs.
Today morning walks leads to our main destination and highlight of the adventure as morning with short day walk leads you in the heart of the Sanctuary at Annapurna Base Camp, walk follows uphill for few hours, on grassy path, and then on pleasant path with magnificent view of snow peaks that surrounds you with massive Annapurna I, a great wall of a mountain slowly walk ends at Annapurna Base Camp the one and only place in all Himalaya with nice cozy Lodges at base camp, offering superb panorama.
After a wonderful time in complete tranquility within giant mountains and serene wilderness our return journey leads back to green vegetation and tree lines on downhill with few ups to reach at Bamboo for overnight.
Day 9 Trek to Jhinu village 1,760 m - 05 hrs.
After a long exciting walks to Annapurna base camp and back at Bamboo in a day, today trek will be much easier where morning walk leads beyond Modi River and Bamboo areas with short ups and then on winding path into deep woodland to reach at Sinuwa danda with few houses and lodge, from here downhill to Chomrong River with climb to Chomrong village for possible lunch stop.
From Chomrong a short climb and then descend on nice paved stone steps to reach at Jhinu village located on a high ridge and hill with super views of rolling hills and peaks, here with time to enjoy its hot natural spring which is 25 minutes walk downhill from the village by the bank of Modi River.
Day 10 Trek to Nayapul and drive back to Pokhara -04 hrs walks and 2 hrs ride.
From Jhinu with refreshing time on natural hot spring, our last day walk leads back on the same trail towards Nayapul or ahead on the road-side for interesting and scenic drive back to beautiful Pokhara for last overnight around Annapurna region by its serene Phewa Lake.
Day 11 Drive or fly to Kathmandu and then transfer to your hotels.
Morning transfer either on car or coach as well taking a tourist bus (depending upon the group size ), where interesting overland journey brings you back at Kathmandu with scenic views of mountains, green scenery of hills and farm fields within nice villages and towns as drive brings leads into hustle and bustle city life of Kathmandu.
On reaching Kathmandu transfer to your respective hotels with time for individual activities and shopping souvenirs.
Day 12 Depart for your next destination.
Last day in Nepal after a wonderful experience and adventure on Annapurna Base Camp trekking with great service of Lhasso Adventure, and as per your international flight then transfer to Kathmandu international airport for homeward bound or to your respective destinations.
